The ideas that our culture understands,

we know what we're talking about

There's a common understanding of

what being heroic and being knightly embodies

We pick back up in the text, I try to give you my rendition of this

I hope you scribble and write in your books as you read them

so it makes a lot easier to go back

It's very interesting

I heard somebody who taught reading one time said,

that they try to teach students never to read anything more than once

And I'm thinking, "What?!"

When I was in college I never marked my books the first time

I always read them at least twice

Because the first time you read them, everything is important

so you tend to mark everything

Or you end up reading it twice and

you try to mark all with different colored markers

I'm not saying you have to read this more than once

Obviously, it's fiction, it's not a text book

You're not reading a history book or a biology text or something

but reading stuff and re-reading it is helpful

We stopped with chapter 7, on page 56 or thereabouts,

with this whole idea of learning how to tilt

In other words, physical here is being emphasized in this chapter

and Merlin has expressed the concern about excessive concern with play

It's certainly concern in our society

I have a concern for the excessive controlled play

When I was growing up, somebody would have a football or basketball and you go and play

and you would straighten things out like King Arthur did among themselves

Everything now is kind of organized

The only time somebody plays softball is

when they go to junior miss or something of that nature

What kind of armor is best? Why?

One of the things they talk about here is armor

"My armor looks like this when I drag it down "
