Xi optimistic about China's economic fundamentals
习李联合强调中国经济长期向好的基本面没有变
Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of supply-side reform, at a recent symposium attended by ministers and provincial officials.
电省部级主要领导干部学习贯彻十八届五中全会精神专题研讨班在中央党校开班。中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平在开班式上发表重要讲话。
President Xi said reducing low-end supply and expanding higher quality supplies would boost productivity. He called for policies to help solve problems on the supply-side reform, and said these measures should be focused on scientific and technological innovation.
他表示，“十三五”及今后一个时期，我国仍处于发展的重要战略机遇期，经济发展长期向好的基本面没有变。经济发展面临速度换挡节点、结构调整节点、动力转换节点。新常态是一个客观状态，是我国经济发展到今天这个阶段必然会出现的一种状态，是一种内在必然性，我们要因势而谋、因势而动、因势而进。
