Yeah, you hear words sometimes thrown out like existentialism and neolism and these words, and you get varying definitions

And certainly I don't want to get into this quagmire, especially on TV
But, you know, simplistically if existentialists don't believe in God,
they do believe that there are good deeds and bad deeds
And so whatever value structure they have,

1.jpg

they set up a value structure and they're consistent with it

It was one of the interesting things I remember reading during the Clinton mess,
that -- I brought this up before and some Baptists say, "Well, that's not right"Well, I just know what I read
But that -- you know, what they were maintaining, the thing I read, that each Southern Baptist has an individual relationship with God
and so they agree in that relationship to act in certain ways
And so they each kind of have their own system and existentialists can do that
How about a neolist: what does a neolist believe in Nothing
Okay Are there good deeds and bad deeds
No They're just deeds, you know
You push the old lady in front of the car because you thought it was funny
Do you have guilt about that No It was just an action
You jump in and save, like,a child from a roaring river You feel good
Well, not any more than you feel bad about the other
In other words, everything is just an action
So there are no goods and there are no bads; there are just actions
