孩子
I've been around a really long time.

As a matter of fact,our kind has been around longer than just about anything.

I've seen just about everything.

Well, I've seen weather,

all kinds of weather.

And lots of critters?

Yeah.

At first there were just some bugs and spiders,then some mice and rats,

and some rabbits and bears,and skunks.

Then, all of a sudden, there were humans.
然后 突然之间 人类出现了
And all hell broke loose.

Why?

What did the humans do?
人类做了什么呢
Well, they changed wolves into dogs,
他们把狼驯化成了狗
rivers into lakes,
把河改造成了湖
and us into wood.
把我们变成了木材
They started using the planet like it was put there just for them.
他们开始利用这个星球 就像这只是为他们准备似的
Act like they've got an extra one laying around.
好像还有另一个地球在等着他们似的
Why do they do that?
他们为何要那样做
Why don't they understand?
为何他们不理解呢
I don't know.

If they don't figure out that they're part of nature
如果他们不理解他们是也自然的一部分
rather than just using nature,
而非是自然的利用者
they probably won't be around to see you grow up.
他们可能就看不到你长大了
