North Korea Tests Intercontinental Missile
After testing a new type of long-range missile this week, North Korea claims it can reach anywhere in the world. The test was launched on the morning of July 4 and seems to have been timed with Independence Day celebrations (US). North Korea has claimed that the missile travelled 2,800 kilometres, a longer distance than the test missile they launched this May. The extra distance was accomplished by adding a second stage to the missile. The US ambassador to the United Nations has called for an emergency session on the the situation.
