写邮件的5种有用的表达方式

来源:可可英语 编辑:alice   可可英语APP下载 |  可可官方微信:ikekenet

Hi. My name is Emma, and today we are going to look at some very useful email expressions.

大家好,我是Emma,今年我们要讲一些在电子邮件中非常有用的表达。
So we're going to look at five in total, and these email expressions can be used in formal email writing.
我们一共要讲五个,这些表达可以用在正式的电子邮件写作中。
So I've had a lot of students in the past tell me that they spend hours writing very simple, short emails.
过去有很多学生告诉我他们写封很简单很简短的电子邮件就要花好几个小时。
These expressions will help you to improve your email writing, and to write emails a lot quicker. So let's get started.
这些表达会帮助你们改进电子邮件写作,让你们能够以更快的速度写完邮件。那我们开始吧。
Okay, so our first expression, very common: "Please find attached...".
好了,我们要讲的第一个表达十分常见:"Please find attached..."(请见附件......)。
Okay? "Please find attached...", so what do I mean by "attached"?
没错,就是"Please find attached...",那么"attached"是什么意思呢?

So, in this case, "attached" is a verb, but "an attachment", which is the same thing but in the noun form, is an added computer file.

在这里"attached"(附上)是一个动词,"attachment"(附件)和它的意思是一样的,只不过是名词的形式,意思是附加的计算机文件。
So it's a computer file we add to an email. So, what are some examples of "attachments"?
是我们加在电子邮件上的一份计算机文件。"attachments"都有哪些例子呢?
Well: "Please find attached my resume.", this may be an added computer file.
"Please find attached my resume."(请见随信附上的简历),这就是一个附加的电脑文件。
"Please find attached photos from the conference."
"Please find attached photos from the conference."(请见附件的会议照片)。
So it's a very simple phrase, it's very polite, notice we have "please".
这是一个非常简单的短语,很有礼貌,注意我们在这儿用了"please"。
"Please find attached...", and then you just fill in the blank with the computer file you're adding to the email.
"Please find attached...",然后在空白处填上你要附加在邮件中的电脑文件。
Okay? So that's our first expression.
知道了吗?那么以上就是我们第一个表达的内容。
Now let's look at our second expression: "I've forwarded...to you", or alternatively, we can also say: "I'm forwarding something to you".
现在我们来看第二个表达:"I've forwarded...to you"(我给你转发了......),或者也可以说"I'm forwarding something to you"。
So, first of all, what do I mean by "forward"?
首先,"forward"是什么意思呢?
Okay? Well, a "forward"..."forwarding" is a verb, but it can also be a noun, as in "forward".
"forward"......"forwarding"是一个动词,但也可以做名词用,也就是"forward"(转发)。
So a "forward" is when you get an email and you decide you want to resend the email to someone else, so you "forward" it to them.
所以"forward"就是你收到了一封邮件,然后决定要再把这封邮件发送给别人,这个时候你就是在给他们"forward"这封邮件。
So, again, it's when you want to resend an email and you send it to a different email address.
再说一遍,就是你想再次发送一封邮件,发送到别的电子邮件地址。
So that's a "forward", so what can I forward?Well, we've used resume already; we can use it again.
那就是"forward",那么我可以转发什么呢?我们已经用过简历这个例子了,还可以再用一遍。
"I've forwarded..." maybe you're forwarding someone else's resume, so: "...Bill's resume to you.""I'm forwarding John's email."
假设你在转发别人的简历,那你就可以写上:"I've forwarded Bill's resume to you."(我把Bill的简历转发给你)。"I'm forwarding John's email."(我转发的是John的邮件)。
Maybe there was a good email he sent, so you want to forward it to someone else, to you.
可能他发了一封很不错的邮件,你想把它转发给别人。
So that covers "forwarding".Okay, now let's look at some more expressions.
以上就是"forwarding"的内容。好了,现在我们再来看一些表达。
Okay, so expression number three: "I've cc'd/cc'ed/copied...", and then you write the name of the person,"...on this email."So, what does this mean?
第三个表达:"I've cc'd/cc'ed/copied...on this email."(我把这封邮件抄送给了......),中间写上那个人的名字。那么这是什么意思呢?
Well, sometimes maybe you've written an email to someone, but you want someone else to see what you've written.
有时候可能你给某人写了一封邮件,但是你想要别人看到你写的邮件内容。
So the email isn't directed to this person; you just want them to know what's going on, so you might "cc" them or "copy" them.
你并没有把这封邮件发给这个人,你只是想要他知道里面的内容,那你就可以"cc"或"copy"他。
Okay? So there are three different ways to write this.
有三种不同的书写方式。
Remember, in business writing and in formal writing for emails, we really want emails to be short and to the point.
记住,在商务写作和正式的电子邮件写作中,我们一定要保持邮件简短,切中要点。
We want them to be concise, so that's why you may see "cc'd", not as a word but just with an apostrophe "d", meaning the past participle.
要保持简洁,所以你可能会看到"cc'd",这并不是一个单词,而是用一撇(')加上了"d"表示过去分词。
"Cc'ed" or "copied", all of these are correct to use.
"cc'ed"或者"copied",这些都是正确的。
So I could say: "I've cc'd Umar on this email.", meaning the email goes to someone, but Umar can also see the email too.
所以我可以说:"I've cc'd Umar on this email."(我给Umar抄送了这封邮件),意思是这封邮件是发给某个人的,但是Umar也可以看到这封邮件。
So the email isn't directed to Umar; he can just see it too.
也就是我虽然没有把这封邮件发送给Umar,但他也能看到。
So why might we "cc" someone? Well, to keep a person, so someone, "in the loop".So this is another common expression you may hear.
我们为什么要"cc"别人呢?是为了"keep someone in loop"(让某人知情)。这是另一个你可能会经常听到的表达。
When you "keep someone in the loop", it means you want them to know what is going on, so you "keep them in the loop", meaning now they know what is happening. Okay?
"keep someone in the loop"的意思就是你想让他们知道现在的情况,就是让他们知道正在发生什么事。
Expression number four: "If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me."
第四个表达:"If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me."(若有任何问题,请尽管联系我)。
So, first of all, what does "hesitate" mean? This might be a word you don't know, it means to wait.
首先,"hesitate"是什么意思呢?你可能不认识这个单词,它的意思是“等”。
So, this can also sound like: "If you have any questions, please don't wait to contact me."
所以这个表达也可以改成: "If you have any questions, please don't wait to contact me."。
"Hesitate" is, of course, more formal and it's the one that is commonly used.So this is a great way to actually end an email.
"hesitate"(犹豫,踌躇)当然更正式一些,而且更常用。实际上按照这样给电子邮件结尾是非常棒的。
Towards the end, before you say: "Sincerely", or "Kind regards, Vanessa", or "Emma", or "Umar", or "John", this is a good thing to write before the very end of the email.
给邮件结尾,在写上祝福语如"Sincerely"或"Kind regards,以及署名 "Emma"、"Umar"或"John"之前,在邮件正文部分的最后写上这么一句非常好。
So here's the fifth expression: "I look forward to..." and then we have different options.
下面是第五个表达:"I look forward to..."(期待),后面可以接上不同的内容。
So before I get to those options, "I look forward to", what does that mean exactly?
在讲这些内容之前,我想问一下,"I look forward to"究竟是什么意思呢?
Well, it means this is what you want the other person to do and you're saying it in a polite way.So: "I look forward to hearing from you."
它的意思是你想让那个人做这件事,你在以一种很有礼貌的方式表达这一点。比如"I look forward to hearing from you."(期待收到你的来信)。
You want the other person to contact you, "I look forward to hearing from you."And notice we use verb in the "ing" form.
意思就是你想让那个人联系你,所以就说"I look forward to hearing from you."。注意我们在这里用的是动词的"ing"形式。
Another thing we could say: "I look forward to meeting you."
我们还可以说:"I look forward to meeting you."(期待与你会面)。
Okay? So this is the action that's going to happen next, and I'm excited about it; I'm looking forward to it.
懂了吗?所以这是接下来会发生的动作,我对此感到很兴奋,我很期待。
I could also, instead of using a verb "ing", there are so many different variations of this, I could say: "I look forward to your reply."
除了用动词的"ing"形式,我也可以......当然了,有很多不同的形式,我可以说"I look forward to your reply."(期待你的回复)。
Meaning I'm waiting for your reply, I'm excited to get your reply, although it's not that strong.
意思是我在等你的回复,能收到你的回复我会很激动的,不过感情没有这么强烈。
Okay? So this, again, usually comes towards the end of the email and it's just telling the person what action you're waiting for.
再说一下,这个表达通常出现在邮件的结尾部分,只是在告诉收件人你在等他干什么。
Okay, and now how do we sign off on the email after that?
好了,写完那句话之后我们要怎么在邮件上署名停笔呢?
Well, there are many ways to sign off on an email.
有很多种在邮件上署名停笔的方式。
A common way is: "Kind Regards," or just: "Regards,".
比较常见的是写"Kind Regards,"(谨致问候),或者直接写"Regards,"。
So I could say: "Kind Regards," and then underneath, write: "Emma", "Regards," underneath, "Emma", "Warm Wishes,", "Yours Truly,".
所以我可以写"Kind Regards,",然后在下面写上我的名字"Emma",或者"Regards,",下面写上"Emma",也可以写"Warm Wishes,"(温馨祝福), "Yours Truly,"(敬启)。
Again, these are just some suggestions, there are many different ways you can end an email and write your name underneath.
这些只是我的一些建议,还有很多不同的在邮件上署名停笔的方法。
Okay? So, I look forward to reading your comments and hearing about your opinions.
我很期待(look forward to)看到你们的评论,听到你们的想法。
And so, until next time...well, before until next time actually, you can also practice these expressions on our website: www. engvid. com.
