I can see where I'm taking you guys now
我知道现在我把你们带到哪儿了
So this is the building
这就是我们说的那栋楼
It's free to see a view of Tokyo
在这上面看风景是免费的
It's completely free
一分钱都不收的
but it's not so well known
但是知道的人其实并不多
It's called The Carrot Tower, i'm not too sure why
这栋楼的名字叫“胡萝卜塔”，我不知道为什么
because it doesn't look like a carrot to me.
因为我觉得它看着不像胡萝卜
Now we're in the building and we're going to the 26th floor
我们现在在楼里面来啦，我们要去26楼
Now take the elevator to the 26th floor
现在坐电梯去26楼
and the elevator should be pretty straight forward to find
电梯很容易就能找到
So we are here on the 26th floor
我们到26楼啦
and thank god it's not raining because it's typhoon season but
谢天谢地没有下雨，因为现在是台风季，但是
ah you probably can't see it, it's too bright
啊，你们可能看不见，太亮了
right, let me fix that

When you first exit the elevator on your left you'll see this view
走出电梯，往左边你会看到这样的景象
You can see Shinjuku skyscrapers in the background
远处可以看到新宿的高楼
and this is what it looks like when you first enter
一今天看到的应该是这个样子
they have a lot of big windows for you to see the view
这儿的窗户都很大，方便大家欣赏风景
a lot of people also buy lunch and bring it up to eat here
很多人都会买了午饭带到这上面来吃
You can see the local neighbourhood and the city in the near distance
在这儿可以看到附近的社区，以及这个城市的面貌
There are also affordable cafes here
这儿也有价格比较实惠的咖啡吧
And if you have a meal at this restaurant
如果你在这家餐厅用餐的话
you can enjoy the views of Skytree and Tokyo Tower
还可以看到晴空塔和东京塔
So near the tower we were just in
就在我们刚刚去的大楼的旁边
there is actually a cool little alley way filled with small interesting restaurants and Japanese bars.
就有一个非常棒的小巷，里面有各种有趣的餐厅和日式酒吧
thats so cool
那个好酷啊
These alley-ways are called 'Yokocho' in Japanese and they can be found all over Japan.
这些小巷在日语里叫“横町”，日本到处都有这种横町
When you walk down these alley-ways, it takes you back in time
走在这些巷子里，感觉时光一下子倒流了
and it has an old, traditional Japanese atmosphere to it.
这里有种古老而传统的日本的气息
The shops here are smaller than average
这里的店比普通的店都小
as it builds a cosy atmosphere for you and the other customers and the shop staff
有种非常舒适的感觉，方便大家，以及店员们
to be able to eat and have conversations.
用餐和聊天
There are also some pretty interesting and hidden away shops
这儿也有很多很有趣但又比较隐秘的小店
so go explore and see what you can find.
你可以自己去探索，看看能买点儿什么
The Yokocho I just showed you guys now is more of the, what do you call it?
我刚刚带大家看的这个横町现在更加，怎么说呢
the standard one, that most people would know
大家都知道的那种标准款了
but the one I am at now is more for the locals who live in this area
但我现在所在的这个横町更接近当地人生活
and it looks like a lot of these shops have been going on ah, have been running for a long time
貌似很多店都营业了很长时间了
A lot of them aren't open yet but look how small they are
很多店现在都还没开门，但你们看看这些店有多小
So at night these shops would be full of people and have a fun atmosphere
到晚上这些店里就会特别热闹，也会变得更好玩儿
and it's also a great way to experience drinking and eating like the locals
而且能够像当地人一样品尝美食美酒是再好不过了
Also there are a lot of different kinds of foods for you to try out and eat
而且，这里有各种各样的美食供你品尝
And I love how some shops you can just eat on the streets while everyone is walking past
而且我非常喜欢那种可以让你坐在外面吃饭的餐厅，你吃饭的时候有人会直接从你身旁走过那种
So if you want to have a night out and drink and eat in the locals way
所以，如果你想想像当地人一样吃点儿宵夜，喝点儿小酒
definitely check this area out.
