If you are visiting Osaka, then Dotonbori is a very popular for most first timers to go

the Dotonbori street runs parallel to the Dotonbori Canal
道顿堀街沿着道顿堀运河而建
And is filled up with lots of things to do and to see there

But you know what I love the most about this place?

It's how you can just stuff your face with all of the delicious food the Kansai region has to offer

And in this video I will be showing you some of the recommended restaurants the locals gave me on Dotonbori street

So the first shop we will be going to is at the start of Dotonbori street
我们去的第一家店位于道顿堀街的街头
And it's under this huge octopus here, so it's hard to miss!
就在这个巨大的章鱼底下，所以你很难错过它
Even though takoyaki is sold throughout Japan, it was first popularised here in Osaka
虽然章鱼烧日本到处都有卖，但最初章鱼烧是从大阪这里开始流行的
They usually put a weak flour batter into the takoyaki mould
他们通常都会在这个章鱼烧的磨具里倒入低筋面粉糊
and fill it with octopus, pickled ginger, green onion and tempura scraps
然后放上章鱼，撒上腌姜、青葱和天妇罗碎末
This takoyaki shop makes it fresh
这家店的章鱼烧都是现做的
And you can see them making it right in front of you
你可以亲眼看到他们就在你面前做章鱼烧
And can you guess what special ingredient the shop adds to give the takoyaki its special flavour?

There are also three fillings you can choose from
有三种馅儿可以选
The original takoyaki with just the octopus
最原汁原味的是章鱼馅儿的
Bacon and cheese or Shrimp takoyaki
此外还有培根芝士馅儿和虾馅儿的
After they freshly made the takoyaki, they put the takoyaki with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise on top
章鱼烧出锅以后，他们会在上面放上章鱼烧酱和蛋黄酱
They also put dried seaweed and bonito flakes on top as toppings
他们也会在章鱼烧上面放干海苔，或者木鱼花
and is it just me or does it always look like these bonito flakes are alive?
不知道是我的问题，还是说它本来就是这样，感觉跟活的似的
They also have seats inside for you to eat your takoyaki
他们店里也有座位，你可以坐着享用你的章鱼烧
We just got our takoyaki and we got...what flavour did we get?
我们刚刚买了章鱼烧，我们买了……我们的是什么味道的来着
Two different flavours. One is cheese, bacon and tako - octopus
两种不同的口味，一种是芝士培根和鱿鱼
Oh, and tako...And tako, and tako
还有鱿鱼？……是的，有鱿鱼
And the other one is just tako, but it's supposed to be big tako.
另一种里只有章鱼，但是是比较大的章鱼
Big tako...That's why they're popular right? Bigger than all the other shops. yeah
比其他店的都在 这就是他们家比较受欢迎的原因对吧
We don't know which is which we don't know which is which
我们不知道哪个是哪种口味，我们不知道哪个是哪种口味
So we'll take one from each side and see.

This shop the takoyakis are really really soft inside
这家店的章鱼烧的馅儿真的超级超级软
And the cheese, the cheese is really really good, right
还有这个芝士，这个芝士也超级好吃对吧
And the bacon and tako... Takos are really big by the way
还有这个培根和章鱼……噢，这个章鱼真的超级大
Usually it's like...just like 5mm...So tiny, where is the tako?
一般只有5mm这么大……太小了，章鱼跑哪儿去了
Where is...Yeah. OK let's try the normal one- the normal one

OK this is supposedly the big tako one.

Yeah, it's so soft that it's easy to break, right?

Man, this is legit really good.
啊，这个才是正宗的章鱼烧啊，真的好好吃
I thought it would just taste like any other takoyaki.
我以为味道会跟别家的章鱼烧没什么两样
But it's really good, it just melts in your mouth
但是真的很不错，入口即化
When I came to Dotonbori, it's really like a touristy area
我来道顿堀的时候，感觉这里就是一个观光区
There's lots of tourists, so I thought, you know, just because there's a long line
游客很多，所以我以为虽然排队的人很多
it doesn't necessarily mean it's a good shop
但不代表这个店的东西就很好吃
It just very...It just attracts lots of tourists,
只是为了吸引更多的游客
but the takoyaki's really good,
但是这家店的章鱼烧真的超级好吃
like it was, it was actually probably like one of the best takoyakis I've ever had.
这是，这可能是我有史以来吃到的最好吃的章鱼烧了

I think because in Tokyo the takoyaki is not as soft -Really?
我想，因为东京的章鱼烧都没有这么软……真的吗？
Or maybe the ones I've had. Or maybe...Or maybe the ones I've cooked.
