Harry woke on the last day of the holidays, thinking that he would at least meet Ron and Hermione tomorrow, on the Hogwarts Express.

He got up, dressed, went for a last look at the Firebolt,

and was just wondering where he'd have lunch, when someone yelled his name and he turned.

'Harry! Harry!' They were there, both of them, sitting outside Florean Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour,

Ron looking incredibly freckly, Hermione very brown, both waving frantically at him.
罗恩看上去令人难以置信地奇特，赫敏晒得成了棕色，两人都在拼命向他招手。
'Finally!' said Ron, grinning at Harry as he sat down.
“到底看见你了！”罗恩说道，在哈利坐下来的时候对他咧嘴笑着，
'We went to the Leaky Cauldron, but they said you'd left, and we went to Flourish and Blotts, and Madam Malkin's, and –'
“我们到破釜酒吧去过了，但是他们说你已经走了，于是我们去了书店，去了摩金夫人那里，还——”
'I got all my school stuff last week,' Harry explained.
“上周我已经买齐了学校需要的所有东西。”哈利解释说，
'And how come you know I'm staying at the Leaky Cauldron?'
“你们怎么知道我住在破釜酒吧的？”
'Dad,' said Ron simply.
“我爸说的。”罗恩简短地说。
Mr Weasley, who worked at the Ministry of Magic, would of course have heard the whole story of what had happened to Aunt Marge.
韦斯莱先生在魔法部工作，当然会听到整个故事，知道玛姬姑妈的遭遇。
'Did you really blow up your aunt, Harry?' said Hermione in a very serious voice.
“你真的把你姑妈吹胀了吗，哈利？”赫敏问道，声调是很认真的。
'I didn't mean to,' said Harry, while Ron roared with laughter. 'I just — lost control.'
“我不是有意要这样做的，”哈利说，这时罗恩笑得不可开交，“我只不过——一时失控罢了。”
'It's not funny, Ron,' said Hermione sharply.
“这事没什么好笑的，罗恩。”赫敏尖锐地说，
'Honestly, I'm amazed Harry wasn't expelled.'
“说实在的，没开除哈利，我真感到奇怪。”
'So am I,' admitted Harry. 'Forget expelled, I thought I was going to be arrested.'
“我也一样。”哈利承认说，“我忘记了开除的事，我原来以为我要被抓起来的。”
