This phrase comes from the ancient Greek storyteller Aesop.
这个短语出自古希腊的小说家伊索讲的故事。
A fox tries to eat some grapes from a vine.
故事中，一只狐狸想吃葡萄藤上的葡萄。
But they are too high for the fox to reach.
但是葡萄太高，它够不到。
So the fox claims the grapes are probably sour anyway.
所以这只狐狸就声称这些葡萄可能就是酸的。
When someone has a case of “sour grapes”, they criticize something desirable that they know they cannot have.
当人们处于“sour grapes”的情况中，就是在批评一些明知自己无法拥有的东西。
Just like Craig did after Morgan turned him down.
