Well, I spent it with my friends who are trying to find the perfect spot for their wedding.

That sounds...fun. Or maybe not?

It was a wild goose chase. He wants a big place.
这其实就是在白费功夫。男方想要大一点的场地。
She wants a small place. He wants city. She wants country.
女方想要小一点的。男方想选城市。女方想选乡村。
So did they find a place? No...in fact, they decided to wait.
那他们最后定下来了吗？没有……事实上他们打算再等等看。
A “wild goose chase” is a search for the impossible.
“Wild goose chase”是指寻找不可能的东西。
This expression comes from Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”.
这个表达源自莎士比亚的戏剧《罗密欧与朱丽叶》。
Back then, it described a kind of horse race.
当时，这句话描述的是一种赛马形式。
But these days, it just means a hopeless and frustrating search.
但现在，它只是表示没有希望且令人沮丧的寻找。
