Homeless People Offer Walking Tours in Ireland

A unique tourist opportunity is available in Ireland’s capital, and you can feel good about how you spend your money. The My Streets program teaches homeless people how to be tour guides. The guides are then paid to give tours of an area of Dublin that they feel passionate about. The program teaches the homeless a variety of skills including research, storytelling, and creative writing. In addition to providing an income, the program gives the My Streets guides a sense of purpose.
