If you are "under the gun," you feel stressed out and under pressure.

You might feel this way when you have a big project at school, a deadline at work,
如果你学校有大项目需要完成 工作上有截止日期
or when you have to make a difficult decision by a given time.
或者是得在规定时间内做出艰难的决定 就会有这种感觉
