Hey, everyone. I'm Laci Green. And I'm Anthony.

Welcome back to dNews.
Today we have some videos for you that we thought were kind of cool that we wanted to share. Yep.
First up, dogs driving minis in New Zealand.
How can you not love this?
These dogs have actually, like legit learned to drive, right?
One is...these are rescue dogs.
The New Zealand SPCA took them in.
One is 18 months old, two are 10 months old and they taught them to drive modified minis. Right.
So they start with the training cars, uh-huh.
And then they moved into the big cars and they can steer, they can buckle themselves in, they can shift and clutch,
it's pretty amazing. It's super amazing.
And I'm just saying if Hollywood was not thinking about an Air Bud NASCAR thing,
now's the time...strike while the iron is hot, you guys.
Our next video is actually really amazing.
These are some beautiful birds.
These are birds of paradise in New Guinea and they can only exist in New Guinea.
There they have no natural predators and because of that,
they were able to evolve in such a way that they have the craziest, most ornate colourful mating dances.

2

Yes, it's really awesome. So these birds are dancing around, they're showing off their colors,

and this is all just a sexual routine to try to...hey, girl, I'm a bird...get the ladies... looks like you're a bird too.
This is how you get the ladies.
This is part of a massive National Geographic project that has taken 8 years
and these things are so hard to find and they're so used to not being disturbed
that they had to set up remote control cameras on laptops and crazy jungle Ethernet that was battery powered
just to capture..so complicated...these things, yeah, it's really amazing, watch the whole video.
The next video we thought was pretty awesome was this amazing view of the coral reef off of the Egyptian coast.
This video was created by two people who actually build custom camera equipment for marine biologists.
And the the trick here is they are shining a specific frequency of blue light
because these coral reef and the animals only become fluorescent and bioluminescent under completely blue light.
Right. So, if you just shoot like a flashlight under there,
which is white light, you would not get the same effects that they've gotten.
That's like a dirty fish tank. Yeah. And then it turns into a magical Wonderland.
Final one this week is another beautiful fish and bird video. Yes, look at them, coexist in France.
Nature is so so wonderful. oh, god, oh, god, oh, god, I had no idea that catfish could eat birds that were that big.
Yeah. Well, catfish are kind of scary and big too. Yeah. Bigger than I thought that they were...
Yeah, they're huge and they are they're just scavangers and they are complete carnivores,
they will eat anything that are off the bottom of it, but I did not know that they would hunt things that were on land that way.
So those are four of our favorite science videos from this week.
If you have seen anything cool this week that we missed, definitely let us know down below in the comments, or on Twitter, we are at dnews.
And be sure to subscribe, because we put three of these videos out every day, like an amazing conveyor belt of science,
Science all day, every day, so check it out, guys.
