There was a knock on Hagrid's front door. The execution party had arrived.
哈格力家的前门传来了敲门声，执行死刑的人到来了。
Hagrid turned, around and headed back into his cabin, leaving the back door ajar.
哈格力转过身走向木屋，留下后门半开着。
Harry watched the grass flatten in patches all around the cabin and heard three pairs of feet retreating.
哈利看到南瓜地上的草又平了，听到了三双脚离去的声音，
He, Ron, and Hermione had gone…
他、罗恩、还有荷米恩离去了。
but the Harry and Hermione hidden in the trees could now hear what was happening inside the cabin through the back door.
但是哈利和荷米恩藏在树后可以透过后门听到木屋里发生的一切。
“Where is the beast?” came the cold voice of Macnair.
“那只野兽在哪里？”传来了马可尼尔那冰冷的声音。
“Out — outside,” Hagrid croaked.
“外……在外面，”哈格力结结巴巴地说。
Harry pulled his head out of sight as Macnair's face appeared at Hagrid's window, staring out at Buckbeak.
当马可尼尔看向窗户外面，盯着毕克碧的时候，哈利连忙将头藏起来，
Then they heard Fudge.
然后他们听到了法治的声音。
“We — er — have to read you the official notice of execution, Hagrid. I'll make it quick.
“我们——嗯——不得不给读给你关于死刑的官方通知，哈格力，我们要快一点。
And then you and Macnair need to sign it. Macnair, You're supposed to listen too, that's procedure —”
然后你和马可尼尔要在上面签名。马可尼尔，你也要好好听着。过程是——”
Macnair's face vanished from the window. It was now or never.
马可尼尔的脸从窗户处消失了，也许只有这么一下而已。
“Wait here,” Harry whispered to Hermione. “I'll do it.”
“在这儿等着。”哈利对荷米恩低声说。“我去做。”
As Fudge's voice started again, Harry darted out from behind his tree,
法治的声音又响了起来，哈利从树后冲出跨过栅栏，
vaulted the fence into the pumpkin patch, and approached Buckbeak.
跑进南瓜地里，向毕克碧冲去。
“It is the decision of the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures that the Hippogriff Buckbeak,
“这是委员会关于处死危险动物毕克碧的决定，
hereafter called the condemned, shall he executed on the sixth of June at sundown —”
这个被宣判的动物应在六月六日日落之前被处以死刑。”
