What we had for dinner last night was amazing.

Not sure. One is talking about a letter. Then we have a teacher.
我不太确定。先是谈论一封信。然后又说了老师。
And I guess you really enjoyed last night's meal.
我想你确实很喜欢昨晚的晚餐。
Think of what grammar they have in common.
我是说让你想想它们在语法上的共同点。
Ah, yes! Grammar.

These sentences contain "noun clause".
这些句子都包含名词性从句。
A noun clause is a dependent clause that acts as a noun.
名词性从句是指充当名词的从属子句。
And, like any noun, a noun clause can be a subject, an object, or a complement.
就像任何名词一样，名词性从句可以担任主语、宾语或补语。
Yes. And like all clauses, noun clauses contain a subject and a verb.
是的。和所有的从句一样，名词性从句也包含一个主语和一个动词。
The noun clause is "where you can mail the letter".
这里的名词性从句是where you can mail the letter。
Its subjective is "you" and the verb is "can mail".
它的主语是you，动词是can mail。
And notice that the noun clause begins with "where".
注意这个名词性从句是以where开头的。
Noun clause begin with "wh" words like where, what, why, who, which, whether, but also if.
名词性从句一般都是以wh开头的词，比如说where，what，why，who，which，whether开启的，当然也有以if开启的。
