Look at an alternative answer: Bangkok's never boring! There's so much going on all the time.

看看另一个答案:曼谷从来都不无聊!总是有很多趣事发生。
It has so many different neighbourhoods, and they all have their own character.
曼谷有很多不同的街区,每个街区都别具特色。
Some things irritate me, but honestly I really like living here and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
有些事情会激怒我,但说实话,我真的很喜欢住在这里,我无法想象住在其他任何地方。
This answer sounds much more natural. To be clear, ‘natural' doesn't mean anything for your score.
这个答案听起来更自然。需要明确的一点是,“自然”对成绩没有任何意义。
Both answers you saw are good answers.

However, the second answer is more natural, which means it's probably easier for you to produce.

It's closer to how people talk in everyday life. IELTS is a test of your ability to communicate.

It doesn't matter what your ideas or opinions are. It matters that you can express your ideas and opinions clearly and in detail.
你的想法或意见是什么并不重要。重要的是你能清楚详细地表达你的想法和观点。
That sounds so easy, but many IELTS students tell us, “I don't have any ideas for most of these topics.
这听起来很简单,但是很多雅思学生告诉我们,“我对这些话题没有任何思路。”
I just don't have anything to say." What about that? Many students say, “I don't know what to talk about!",
我没什么话题可组织。”那是关于什么的?很多学生会说:“我不知道该说点什么!”
especially for the essay in the writing exam, or in parts two and three of the speaking test.

IELTS questions and topics are designed to be international.
雅思的问题和话题都是国际性的。
They're not about UK culture or US culture, or any single country.
与英国文化、美国文化或任何一个国家无关。
However, that also means they're not based in your culture.
然而,也就意味着这些话题不是基于本国的文化。
There might be topics which people don't talk about in your country.
在你的国家,人们可能不会谈论某些话题。
There might be topics which aren't very relevant to where you live.

The IELTS exam is about your ability to communicate in an English-speaking environment.

That includes talking about things you may not have thought about before.

Plus, sometimes, IELTS questions are just plain weird. “Have you ever planted a tree?" Maria? What? Exactly.

It's a weird question, but it was in a real IELTS speaking exam in the past.

You need to be ready for anything when you go into the IELTS test.

So, what can you do? Preparing for IELTS isn't just about your English.

You should also read, write and speak about many different topics, and work out your own ideas about them.
你还应该阅读、写作和谈论许多不同的话题,并形成自己的思路。
For example, should children always obey their parents? Should the government put taxes on fast food?
例如,孩子应该总是服从父母吗?政府应该对快餐征税吗?
Is it better to choose a course at university that will lead to a good job, or is it better to study something you love learning about?
在大学里选择一门有就业前景课程更好,还是学习你感兴趣的课程更好?
To be a strong IELTS candidate, you should have clear, detailed opinions about all these topics, and many, many more.
作为一名优秀的雅思考生,你应该对所有这些话题都有清晰、详细的观点,还有诸多其他的观点。
You should also try to be aware of other people's ideas.
你还应该留意他人的想法。
Maybe, in your country, people choose a subject at university that will lead to a good job.
也许,在你的国家,大家会在大学里选择一门能找到好工作的专业。
Maybe you never even thought about the idea of studying something just because you're interested in it. Fine, no problem.
也许你从来没有想过学习一些东西,只是因为你对它感兴趣。好,没有问题。
We're not here to tell you what to think! But, in some parts of the world, people have different ideas.
我们的目的不是教大家应该怎么思考!但是,在世界的其他地方,人们都有不同的想法。
You'll be a better IELTS candidate if you realise that.
如果你意识到这一点,就会成为一个更优秀的雅思考生。
So, read widely, write about different things, and talk to as many people as possible about as many topics as possible.

You can do this in your own language, but of course it's smarter to do it in English if you can.

Don't have anything to say about a topic? Ask your friends, relatives, colleagues and anyone else for their opinions.

Decide if you agree or disagree with what other people say.

That way, you'll start to form your own opinion. Again, this is a long-term process.

Preparing for IELTS isn't just about going to a class and studying from a textbook.

It's about becoming a more effective communicator.
