Hi guys, I'm Buddy, and today I'm going to show you some of the tricks and hacks that my Dad taught me to get cooking.

I'm going to give you some easy tips to prep vegetables.

There's no fruits, unless this is a fruit.

So first up I'm going to show you a hack with some ginger,

and you just use a spoon, you don't have to use a knife because when you use a knife,

when you try and cut the skin off you take away quite a lot of the ginger inside.

But when you use a spoon, you just take away the skin.

So I'm just going to show you how to do it, and also using a spoon is a lot safer.

Run it down the ginger as you can see, that's just all you're losing just the skin, and you have all of that and it's not that hard.

So this is the top part of it, I left a bit on the bottom, you can see there's hardly any of the ginger wasted,

just the skin that's been taken off, and this makes peeling ginger just so much more easy.

So I'm gonna use a box grater for this one.

You know how vegetables take so long to cut and it's a bit hard and a bit boring, I have a better tip to do that.

So using a box cutter, I mean a box grater you can just peel them like this, and the hero of this hack is the good old box grater.

It feels a lot more safer than a knife, but you know you have still have to be careful because these can cut you.

Those ones and now we can move on to our carrots, let's do all three different colours of carrots, and I'm going to do my onion.

I cut the top and the bottom off this one, let's do this.

So the great thing about this is at the end it's going to be an amazing reveal of colours,

because the courgette especially the yellow one, is going to be well vibrant.

That is what I call a rainbow, and what's great about this is if I did it with,

if I chopped it like this it would take me like an hour, half an hour, it takes so long, but with this it only took like two, like five minutes.

So I'm just gonna have a quick clean up and put all these vegetables in a bowl, after this I've got another hack for you guys,
