Nuts are great, but I'm going to show you how to take those simple nuts to a next level with maple syrup and some rosemary and the good thing about these, Mom and Dad don't mind me snacking on them.

So I've got 400 grams of mixed nuts here and we're just going to put them in the pan, cold pan.

Got some cashews, some almonds.

No idea what these brains are called and some amazon nuts.

So we've got some cashews here #banananuts.

I didn't know what they were called until I was like six so I just called the banana nuts.

So we got some pecans. Kinda look like brains, which my Dad calls them.

Then I've got some amazon nuts. I like more than amazon nuts because the the Amazon's in Brazil.

Then I've got almonds. When you eat them they're actually white so yeah.

So I've got my 400 grams of mixed nuts in here and I'm going to turn the heat on.

So we've got the heat on we're going to let these toast for five minutes.

So I'm toasting these in a pan today, but if you want to use an oven you can put it at 150 degrees for 20 minutes.

I'm just going to stir these and turn them round and also if you do it in an oven you roast them instead of toast them.

So moving it around because we cook it evenly and while that's roasting we're just going to prep our rosemary.

Let's take a few sprigs, maybe yeah that'll be all right maybe not that much.

But we can just put your hand down there, run it down there like that.

So you could kind of use any other herb, maybe thyme would be quite nice or sage.

So we prepped this we can chop this up now just to make it more finer, cross-drop method.

So it's quite safe. You put your hand here flat on the blade at the top because it's not sharp there and then you're going to hold the knife like you do.

Bring it back together. Probably the safest chopping method out there.

You can really smell those nuts. But you can just see it them browning on the bottom.

You can shake them so they evenly get, there we go.

So they smell great now, I think they're done.

Nice and toasted, and we just have to leave the heat on now and we have to add our rosemary in there just sprinkle it on top and now all we have to do is add a swig of maple syrup, about a tablespoon.

We'll get our spoon now and just make sure all those nuts get that.

So we're just going to turn the heat off now and give it a last stir.

They kind of look like they've been dunked in something sticky.

So we've got our nuts, they look really good and they smell delicious.

We're just going to get our tray.

I'm going to put on the nuts on our tray. Just use this cloth over here, it's quite heavy and you can just let these harden up for about an hour.

So just spread those out and we'll add a bit of salt. You don't have to, but I like too.

Okay and now we're gonna let them to dry.
