will retire from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia, his family said in a statement on Wednesday.

Willis, who is 67, achieved initial fame for the 1980s TV series "Moonlighting" before he became the tough guy, action hero in five "Die Hard" films.

The family statement, posted by his actress daughter Rumor Willis, said,
