The China National Space Administration says the orbiter and rover of China's Mars probe Tianwen-1 have accomplished their planned scientific exploration tasks.

The orbiter has moved around Mars more than 1,300 times in the last 706 days.

It also obtained mid-resolution visual data of the entire planet's surface.

And the rover, named Zhurong, traveled nearly 2 kilometers on Mars and entered hibernation on May 18.

And the Tianwen-1 probe was launched back in July 2020 and entered Mars orbit in February 2021.

The probe transmitted about more than a thousand gigabytes of raw data back to Earth.
