Chinese health authorities have adjusted some of the country's COVID-19 prevention measures.

And that includes shortening respective quarantine times for close contacts and inbound travelers by two days,

A quarantine for inbound travelers will now be reduced to eight days, consisting of five days in a state isolation center and three days at home.

Travelers will also only require one negative COVID-19 tests within 48 hours of boarding flights to China.

Under the new rules, quarantine for close contacts will be cut to five days at a centralized location plus three days at home.

The domestic virus risk system will now only label areas as "high" or "low" risk.

And those traveling from high to low risk areas will need to undergo seven days of home isolation instead of staying at centralized facilities.
