That's a great way to approach describing your life or really any other kind of situation or event.

Move from general information to specific information.

So, a paragraph might have a general statement, known as a topic sentence.

Then the sentences that follow give more information about that first sentence.

The idea is known as cohesion.

When we look at individual sentences, we make sure subjects and verbs agree.
