"Parasite" actor Lee Sun-kyun has been reported dead, according to multiple outlets.

The Associated Press reports that the 48-year-old was found dead in his car on Dec. 27 in Seoul, South Korea, according to Seoul's Seongbuk police station.

The police gave no more information to the AP, but Yonhap News Agency, a South Korean media outlet,

Lee's death comes just months after he had been under a police investigation over allegations that he used illegal drugs at a bar hostess' home, according to the South Korean news agency.

Yonhap also reported that Lee insisted he was tricked into taking the drugs and that he allegedly did not know what he was taking.

Back in October, he reportedly apologized to his family and friends in his statement, which according to the AP read in part,
