China's most advanced ocean scientific research ship has officially been delivered to the State Oceanic Administration.
The Xiangyanghong 3 is designed and manufactured by the China Shipbuilding Industry corporation.
It marks China's highest shipbuilding level and will provide strong support for China's ocean scientific research.
The vessel has a length of 99 meters and weighs over 4 thousand 8 hundred tons.
It can operate in all types of sea conditions.
The State Oceanic Administration said the Xiangyanghong 3 will soon start working in the Indian Ocean and western Pacific region, carrying equipment for marine geology and climate research.
