US Vice President Mike Pence reassured business leaders in Tokyo on Wednesday of America's commitment to strengthening economic ties with Japan.
Pence addressed leaders from more than 50 Japanese firms, and touted Japanese increased investments in America since the election of US president Donald Trump. Pence also spoke about Trump's goal to slash corporate taxes in the US, where tax rates are more than 10 percent higher compared to Japan.
