On the final day of the annual central economic work conference leaders agreed to adopt a prudent and neutral monetary policy and proactive fiscal policy in 2018. They also agree to increase imports and cut tariffs for some imported products for balance trade.
And leaders vowed to pursue high-quality growth, further supply-side structure reform and move faster to create a housing system that ensures supply from multiple sources. For the next three years China will continue its crackdown on financial fraud and work more to control pollution and reduce poverty.
The meeting also revealed the nation's economic performance for the year and officials agreed that Xi Jinping thought on socialist economy with Chinese characteristics for a new era has already taken shape and said China has formed the world's largest middle-income population.
