During an appearance in England at the Glastonbury Festival, Johnny Depp introducing "The Libertine," his 2004 film directed by Laurence Dunmore, said President Trump needs help and then he said this is just a question and he's not insinuating anything, noting his comments would "be in the press": "When was the last time an actor assassinated the President?"
Depp making a reference to John Wilkes Booth, an actor who was the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln, but he went on to say this: "I want to clarify, I am not an actor." Depp said, however, it's been awhile and maybe it's time.
Depp's comments come a week after the politically-motivated shooting of Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise.
