Just a mile from the US capital, a terrifying fast-moving four alarm fire at a senior living apartment complex. Firefighters battling flames on the upper two floors of a five-story building and rescuing hundreds of residents. It started just after 3:30 and spread fast.

As flames broke through the roof, fast-acting Marines from the nearby navy yard rushed through the gates with wheelchairs to help with rescues. You heard people banging on door say, "It's a fire! Get out! It's a fire!" Tonight DC fire rescue says every resident was evacuated safely.
