Let's get right to NBC's KASIE HUNT on Capitol Hill. Casey, what are you learning? Lester, tonight NBC News has learned that the Senate Judiciary Committee is probing an additional anonymous allegation of physical assault against Brett Kavanaugh, a charge that he tells the committee he denies.
It came in a letter. The sender saying the woman involved, her own daughter who witnessed Judge Kavanagh shove a woman up against a wall in a sexual manner when he was drunk in 1998. So while in public it's full speed ahead on the Kavanagh nomination, behind closed doors some Republicans are starting to worry that things might be moving a little bit too quickly. And my sources tell me that if there's another allegation Republicans might start voicing doubts and that would be especially true if it were proven that he is not telling the truth.
