In the Italy, the fashion house Dolce and Gabbana is blaming hackers for insulting remarks about China it allegedly made in conversations on Instagram. Screenshots posted on social media appear to show co-founder Stefano Gabbana referring to China with crude terms while defending his company's recent promotional video. Gabbana apologized but clarified that his account was hacked. Meanwhile, its ads, which have been deleted from the company's Weibo account, continue to cause an uproar. The videos featured a Chinese woman using chopsticks to eat pizza and other Italian food. Many Chinese called the videos racist and full of outdated stereotypes. This also prompted several Chinese celebrities to boycott its Shanghai fashion show. The event has now been canceled.
