The decision caused the Australian Dollar to rise from around 70 to 70 point 4 US cents and the local share market to lose most of its earlier gains. The official cash rate target has now been on hold for 30 consecutive meetings.
A protester has attempted to egg Scott Morrison while the Prime Minister was campaigning at Albury in regional New South Wales. The egg didn't break, and security quickly removed a young woman who was attending the CWA event. Mr Morrison returned to help a bystander knocked over in the commotion.
