In India, many cities have been plagued with high temperatures over the past month. 70 people have a died due to the extreme weather. The local media reports that many cities of surpass 48 degrees Celsius with some regions even reaching 51 degrees. The water level of many rivers and lakes in India have also dropped causing water shortages for many households. And some experts have warned that over 40% of the region may face droughts.
