The Chinese National Bureau of Statistics has released its latest report on the nation's economy and it shows that economic development has slowed to 6% in a third quarter of 2019 year-on-year, the slowest in almost three decades. The GDP for the first three quarters was 6.2% year-on-year. Chinese authorities say economic development remained stable despite the mounting challenges both at home and abroad. Living standards have also improved with stability in areas such as employment and income. The economic performance is in line with Chinese government projections of GDP growth between 6 and 6.5%.
