On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control is expected to release the data explaining why it says COVID-vaccinated people should sometimes wear masks indoors. A federal official, speaking anonymously, links the guidance to the Provincetown, Massachusetts outbreak.
President Biden announced new rules for federal employees and contractors not vaccinated for COVID-19. Those workers will be subject to mask mandates, frequent tests and physical distancing.
And the National Weather Service says two tornadoes touched down in eastern Pennsylvania on Thursday evening. At least five people were hurt, four of them were in one auto dealership.
