I am an English teacher.
我是一名英语老师。
But when I study other languages, sometimes I also confuse these two adjectives.
但当我学习其他语言时，有时我也会混淆这两个形容词。
In English, "true" and "real" have clear differences.
在英语中，true和real有明显的区别。
Let's start with "true."
我们先讲true。
"True" means something is factually correct.
true的意思是某事在事实上是正确的。
Knowing its opposite is helpful.
了解它的反义词会帮助理解。
The opposite of true is false, or incorrect.
true的反义词是false（不正确的），或者incorrect（有误的）。
Take this as an example: "Did you know that flamingo birds feed their babies with a red liquid called 'crop milk'? It's true."
举个例子：你知道火烈鸟用一种叫‘庄稼奶’的红色液体喂它们的幼鸟吗？这是真的。
That means it is factual.
这意味着这是符合事实的。
"Real" means actually existing or happening.
real的意思是实际存在的或正在发生的。
The opposite of real is fictional or imaginary.
real的反义词是fictional（虚构的）或imaginary（想象的）。
Take this sentence as an example: "I just learned that narwhals are real animals."
以这句话为例：我刚刚了解到独角鲸是真正的动物。
That means that they are not imaginary creatures.
这意味着它们不是想象中的生物。
They actually exist.
它们实际上是存在的。
"Real" can also mean authentic.
real也可以指是真品。
For example, if someone says, "This jewel is real," they are saying the stone is authentic.
例如，如果有人说“这颗宝石是真的”，他们就是在说这颗宝石是真品。
Now let's talk about adverbs.
现在我们来讲讲副词。
When "true" and "real" take adverb form, some English learners may be unsure which to choose.
当true和real以副词形式出现时，一些英语学习者可能不知道该选哪一个。
The good news is that, as adverbs, both of these words often mean something like "very."
好消息是，作为副词，这两个词通常都有“非常”的意思。
For example, if someone says, "I am truly sorry" it is like saying, "I am really sorry."
例如，如果有人说，“我真的很抱歉”，这就像说“我确实很抱歉”一样。
If someone says, "It was really hot this morning," it's like saying, "It was truly hot this morning."
如果有人说，“今天早上真的很热”，这就像说“今天早上确实很热”一样。
Note that "really" is more common than "truly" in spoken English.
请注意，在英语口语中，really比truly更常见。
