Well better late than never, a pair of climate activists facing indictment after allegedly defacing an art exhibit at the national gallery in DC last month causing thousands of dollars in damage.

So as protesters vandalized priceless works of art around the world, well, this finally send a message that it won't be tolerated.

Let's bring in former speaker of the House and Fox News contributor Newt Gingrich, welcome Newt.

Good morning.

You know, is this what needs, yeah good to have you, is this what needs to happen, indictments, prosecutions, because we see this, I mean, it feels like every other week.

Look I mean, civilizations have to protect themselves when you have a fanatic who says they have the right to destroy things.

Then you have to draw a line and frankly you get them away.

If they're in jail, they can't destroy anything.

And I think if everybody understands that civilization is not going to allow barbarians to come in and destroy art or destroy churches or destroy museums.

Then I think you will see virtually nobody doing it but if you tolerate fanatics who believe they have the right to impose on everybody else and to cause everybody else pain.

And you give into that then you're going to have a lot more fanatics destroying a lot more things, pretty straightforward history lesson.

Yeah pretty straightforward, declare emergency, they took credit for this attack.

Let's pull up their tweet, around 11 am today two parents who are terrified about their children's future as well as all children made a statement, I wouldn't quite call it that, at the national gallery in DC.

Climate change will cause famine, floods, droughts and destruction unless we act.

Now Newt, the Washington examiner did some really interesting reporting separate and apart from this.

And they found that there's this organization called the climate emergency fund.

Funded by Hollywood, all these leftist groups that have tentacles that spray out to some of the smaller groups.

Does that surprise you.

Well no, because you have people in Hollywood who are totally out of touch with reality.

And they believe that if you get to be a movie star then you get to impose your views on everybody else, which doesn't mean your views make any sense.

But look, we ought to figure out a way to apply the equivalent of the Rico act and say, any organization which is actively sponsoring violence against civilization, the entire organization is at risk.

And you can't allow these kind of organizations to go out and hand pack people who are really stupid and brainwash them into doing something really destructive.

As you're showing, this was happening all over the world and it shouldn't be tolerated.

And it's a very simple test of civilization, you don't have the guts to defend your art and your values.

They're going to be eroded and they're going to be replaced by barbarism and you watch the people who are doing this, they're not cute, they're not clever.

There are people willing to destroy other people's work, other people's lives, other people's values.

And no one has that right, that's a fundamental violation of our freedom.

I have to respect you, you have to respect me, otherwise you don't have a civilization.

Yep, we've got to respect one another if we could get back to that it would solve a lot of our problems.
