The authorities in China say they have killed two Islamic militants and captured fifteen others who are planning an attack on the Beijing Olympics.Communist Party official said police seized members of the group and confiscated weapons during a raid in the northwest region of Xinjiang in January.No details of the alleged plot have been given.The authorities also say they foiled an attempt to attack a plane flying from Xinjiang to Beijing.Ethnic Uygur(Uighur) separatists in Xinjiang have waged a low level of insurgency for many years.The Chinese auhtorities accused them of having links to international terror networks.

After more than fifteen years of waiting,a group of Bhutanese refugees in Nepal has begun a journey to a new life overseas.Seventeen families have been taken from refugee camps to the Nepali capital,Kathmandu,and they're expected to go on soon to America and New Zealand.They are from among more than one hundred thousand Nepali-speaking people who are forced to leave Bhutan when it was to strip them of their citizenship.
