An Internet virus that attacks Microsoft’s Windows operating system is infecting computers throughout the world. Dubbed “lovesan, blaster, or msblaster”, the virus scans the Internet for unprotected machines running Windows and sends itself there. Now the virus doesn’t use email to send itself out. At last count nearly 200,000 computers worldwide have been infected with the virus, but engineers say it could still spread for a few more days.

This is nothing new. I mean Microsoft are the most widely deployed operating systems in the world. So, therefore, they do tend to get targeted more than the others. And no operating system is 100% safe. There will always be vulnerabilities in any operating system.

Well, the origin of the virus is unknown. But the U.S. FBI, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is looking into the case. Microsoft Patch can be downloaded to protect your computer if you believe you’re infected with this virus.
