China's He Kexin won a tie breaker over all-around champion Nastia Liukin of the United States for the uneven bars gold medal on Monday evening at the Beijing Olympics.

Although both gymnasts received the same score, He Kexin took the gold with a higher B score from one judge on the panel.

"I'm satisfied with my performance tonight. Though for a while, I was a bit too hasty, I've been good most of the time."

Nastia Liukin, the silver medalist, says this is the first time she's seen such an outcome. Still, she says it feels good just to stand on the podium.

"You know it's a little difficult just knowing I had the same exact score and I got the silver medal. But it's the sports, and you have to accept that. At the same time, I just won my fourth Olympic medal. I've tied my dad now with the Olympic medals."

The bronze medal in the event went to another Chinese gymnast, Yang Yilin.

Also on Monday evening, Chinese gymnast Chen Yibing won the gold medal in the men's rings competition, with his compatriot Yang Wei finishing the second. Ukrainian Oleksandr Vorobiov took the bronze in the event.
