1.weave v.编织，织；编造；迂回行进 n.编织法，编织式样
【例】The murder weaved a plot to lay the sin on his brother.

Paramedics use bicycles to weave their way through crowds to make fast response even quicker.

【记】词根记忆：ren(返回)+der（给）--给予
【例】Non-payment of the final balance by the due date will render our contract with you void.
如果在规定日期之前没有把最后余额付清的话，我们和你的合同将会失效。
Our company is willing to render you any assistance when you are in trouble.
当您有困难的时候，我们公司很乐意为您提供任何帮助。

5.glisten n．/vi.闪耀
【例】Helina's eyes glistened and she looked at her mom proudly.

6.flatter vt．奉承，恭维；使高兴，使满意
【记】词根记忆：flat(吹)+ter一个劲吹嘘别人好--奉承，恭维
【例】Most of the women enjoy being flattered by the men who love them.
大多数女人都喜欢听到爱人的恭维之辞。

【辨】compliment, flatter, fawn, compliment用来表示因为羡慕、尊敬等而赞扬、夸奖某人，含有奉承的意味，如：Tom complimented him on his success; flatter指为了讨好而过分夸赞或言不由衷地夸奖某人；fawn用来指人为了达到某种目的而做出的某些虚伪的举动，如：He fawned over his boss, but sneered at him underneath.

7.challenging adj.引起兴趣的；使人思考的;激发干劲的；困难的
【例】To deal with the air pollution caused by vehicles in cities is a challenging job.

8.dispose v．排列，配置；清除，销毁;安排，处理；使倾向于
【记】词根记忆：dis+pos(放)+e--分开放--排列
【例】dispose of Lily has disposed of many old cloches.
莉莉已经扔掉了许多旧衣服。
【用】搭配dispose of表示“丢掉；赠送；卖掉；处理，解决”。
【派】disposed（adj.愿意的，乐意的；有…倾向的）；disposition（n．性格，性情）
【辨】dispose，incline两个词都有“倾向于”的意思。dispose指对于已经看到的结局形成想法并由此而倾向性地做某事；incline指感情受到影响而对所讨论的事情有一定的倾向性意见，如：I incline to take the opposite point of view.

9.cooperate V．合作，协力
【记】词根记忆：co(共同)+oper(工作)+ate(使)--一同工作--合作
【例】All the nations around the world should cooperate with each other and develop together.
世界各国应该相互合作，共同发展。
【用】cooperate后一般接with，表示“与…合作”。
【派】cooperation（n．合作，协力；合作的意愿）；cooperative[n．合作社，合作商店（或企业等）adj．合作的，协作的；有合作意向的，乐意合作的]

10.lunatic n.疯子，精神失常者；极愚蠢的人 adj.精神失常的；极愚蠢的
【记】词根记忆：lun(月亮)+atic--人们认为精神病与月亮盈亏有关--疯子，精种失常者
【例】The manager got mad at my lunatic proposal.
经理被我愚蠢的建议气疯了。
