Do Red Packets Really Make the Spring Festival More Colorful?

What’s the hottest topic in the Spring Festival in 2015? There is no doubt that it’s red packet. There are a variety of packets for us to choose from, like WeChat packets, microblog packets, alipay pockets, QQ packets, voice pockets and so on. “Red packet” ever has swept the whole country. People shot mobile phones in front of TV and clicked mobile phone screen all the time. Some of the lucky ones received e-packet in 100-yuan denominations. Some only managed to get a few fen. And they were in the different moods.

As far as I’m concerned, the red packet is only a part of Spring Festival and family affection is the most important: for one thing, spending the Spring Festival should watch in the new year and have the feast together; for another, if we abandon ourselves to snatching red packets, the old will thing we are impolite and they will feel lonely. What’s more, wasting time to stay up too late can also do harm to our eyes and bring unnecessary trouble. To a great extent, getting money from snatching red packets couldn’t make up the bad influence.

So, what should we do to make the Spring Festival more meaningful? The first thing I think we should leave the phone alone and return to traditional folk-customs, which is the key to inheriting excellent traditional cultures. Secondly, we should leave more time to accompany parents and relatives. Finally, we are supposed to make the Spring Festival more energetic and take an active part in it.
