Describe an occasion when someone or something made noise.
You should say:
when and where it was;
who/what made the noise;
why they made noise;
and explain how you felt about this noise.
I wanna say something about a time I went to the biggest shopping mall in my city. I went with my mum/girlfriend/roommate last boxing day. The mall tried to follow the example of western shopping malls, and offered dramatic price reductions on that day. I was dragged by my mum to the mall, in search of good bargains, cos you know, it usually had the best stuff.
To sum up my feelings, it was unbearable. The noise made by the crowd was frightening.
To be more specific, when the gate opened, the crowds poured into the store. I couldn’t catch my mum in this seething mass of people. I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t move, couldn’t hear my mum or my phone. All I could hear was people shouting, ‘come here, this one is 50% off’. We were like sardines packed into a tin; for me, there wasn’t even a tiny bit of joy.
Obviously I didn’t enjoy the noise and the crowdedness, what’s worse, having endured all that, I got myself nothing. I mean shoppers were clearly lured by the discounts, they were grabbing everything. I found nothing in my size. It was a total waste of time.
