plume - port After the plunge
跳崖之后
The plume of smoke was the first thing Missy saw.
米西首先看到的 是团团浓烟。
Then she looked over and a bee was busy ollinating a flower.
然后她放眼望去，一只 蜜蜂正忙着给一朵花 传授花粉。
She wiped her face of the sweat coming out of her pores. Where was she?
她擦掉脸上从毛孔冒出 的汗。她这是在哪里 啊?
The last thing she remembered was plummeting from a cliff.
她记得她做的最后 一件事是从悬崖 一头栽下。
Going on living had become pointless
继续活下去就变得 没有意义了。
ever since her husband had discovered photos of her naked in a pornography magazine.

When the whole populace of the small port town located just off the polar ice caps

Then she saw the old woman pondering next to her.
后来，她看到了一位在 她旁边思考的老太太。
She was beautiful and Asian, looking like an elderly porcelain doll.
她是个美丽的亚洲人， 长得像一个年长的 瓷娃娃。
"Well, there weren't any pollutants in the water you landed in.
"嗯，你掉进的水里没 有任何污染性物质，
That's the good news!"The woman said.
这是个好消息!" 那个女人说，
"But why you jumped I won't ask.That' s not my policy.
"但我不会问你为什么 跳崖，那不是我使用 的办法。
Why didn't you just take poison?
你为什么不服毒呢?
That's how my friends did it when I was young!
我年轻时我的朋友要 自杀就这么干。
Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to ask!" Missy said nothing.
噢，对不起，我本不想 问的!" 米西什么也没说。
She began to polish the dirt off her hands and body.
她开始把手上和 身上的灰尘擦掉。
"I better get you back to town." The older woman said.
"我最好带你回城去。" 老太太说。
"Please no."said Missy suddenly.

"Can you take me to some place that's not populated?
"您能带我去一个 无人居住的地方吗?
I don't want to live near people anymore."
我再也不想生活在有人 的地方了。"
"Let me take a poll!" The woman said,
"让我做个民意测验!" 女人说，
and then looked to her left, right, front and back.
然后朝她的 前后左右看了看。
"Nope, no one says you can't come with me!
"不，没人说你 不能跟我走!
I'm heading up north into the mountains to my cabin in.
我正往北走， 到我山里的小木屋去。
Do you want to come with me?
你要跟我一起去吗?"
"Yes." Said Missy. And her new life began.
"是的。"米西说道。 她的新生活就 这样开始了。
