Biography of Lincoln

Lincoln was one of the greatest statesmen in the USA. He was a shrewd and ambitious man. His integrity, intellect and courtesy gained him the esteem of his people. His career reflected the common American's dream or belief. Due to his remarkable competence and merits, Lincoln was nominated for the Presidency and was elected the president in 1860.
In Lincoln's time, even though the south and the north of America were colonies without autonomy, and they had different splitting regimes. The property of the south was based on the tragic fate of black slaves: Africans and their descendants(offspring) were sold as commodities. The moment when those slaves were tugged into the foul cabin, they were dropped into a hopeless plight. Deducting the dead and the insane, only half of the robust(muscular) slaves were alive. When slave ships traversed the Atlantics, sharks followed them for preying on slaves' corpses.
Most of the northerners despised and opposed slavery. In 1952, the publication of Uncle Tom's Cabin, which graphically depicted the brutal slavery and tragic destiny of slaves, was sold by millions. The calling for overturning slavery swelled to a deafening chorus.

Lincoln didn't take any rash action to abolish or crash slavery. The Civil War of America broke out in 1861. At first, though possessing ample ammunition, artillery (cannon) and food supply, the alliance of the north still couldn't repel the enemy's siege. With other underlying superiority, the north won the final victory and the south power ebbed.

After pondering long enough, Lincoln proclaimed the notable Emancipation Proclamation in 1862. He also mobilized the slaves who had busted their yoke to join the federal troop. Most of the enthusiastic people upheld Lincoln's political slogan. In 1864, his singular feat made him was voted president for a second term by a unanimous ballot (poll) after the expiration.
After the President's inauguration, Lincoln feasted a galaxy of generals in front of the White House. But in a few days, he was assassinated in a theater. The irritated people captured the assassin in an obscure village just several days later.
