有时候我们会觉得别人说的话有"弦外之音",其实很多时候都是自己瞎想,很可能会引起误会.那么怎么用英语表达这层意思呢?我们看个例句:
Don't read too much into what she says. 不要在她的话里加进太多自己的理解.
read sth into sth就是在别人说的话中加入自己的理解,通常是不必要的.
read something into something: to think that something means more than it really does 把本没有的意思加进去解释;对...作过多的理解
It was only a casual remark. I think you're reading too much into it.
