leave off 停止做某事

此语意指stop doing something,例如:It’s time to leave off work.(是歇工的时候了。)引申指“不再做(或用、穿），戒除（习惯）”,例如：It had stopped raining, so we left off raincoats.(雨停了, _因而我们脱了雨衣。) Theywouldnot leave off their wild habits. (他们不愿改掉野蛮的习愤。）此语亦用作leave off doing something。
