Maria: Yokio, do you like sushi?
玛丽亚：优克，你喜欢吃寿司吗？
Yokio: Of course! That's our national cuisine.
优克：当然啦！这是我们的国菜哦。
Maria: Great! Do you want to have another type of sushi? It's our traditional food in California.
玛丽亚：太好啦！你喜欢吃另一种风格的寿司吗？它可是加州的传统食物哦。
Yokio: Wow, wonderful. Is that California roll?
优克：哇，太棒了，你说的是加州寿司卷吗？
Maria: Bingo! It's a sushi roll.
玛丽亚：猜对啦！就是寿司卷。
Yokio: Oh, I see. But I found the American style is quite different from the Japanese one. We Japanese normally warp the nori on the outside, but you Americans like to make the nori inside the roll.
优克：哦，我明白了。但是我发现美式的做法和我们日式的不同。我们日本人通常将海苔裹在外面，但是你们美国人喜欢把海苔卷在寿司卷里面。
Maria: You're right. We generally do not like chewing the nori on the outside of the roll. So it is tailored according to American's desire.
玛丽亚：对的，大部分美国人不太喜欢嚼寿司卷外面的海苔。所以，寿司卷在美国得到了改良，以符合美国人的口味儿。
Yokio: Sounds great!
优克：听上去还挺好吃的呢！
