Wendy: I wish I could afford to buy the hardcover edition of A Song of Ice and Fire! I'm hard up at the end of the semester.
温迪：真希望我能买得起《冰与火之歌》的精装版！学期末我相当拮据。
Rowena: What is that book you just said?
罗威娜：你刚说什么书？
Wendy: It's a fantasy series by an American writer. The author is absolutely fantastic. Now he has millions of fans around the world.
温迪：是一位美国作家写的奇幻系列。作者实在是太有才了。现在他的粉丝有上百万，遍布世界各地。
Rowena: Will a paperback not do?
罗威娜：买平装版不行吗？
Wendy: I already have the paperback. I only want the hardcover for collection. Original books published overseas are much more expensive than those published in our country.
温迪：我巳经有平装版了。只是还想买精装版来收藏。国外的原版书比我们国家出版的书贵太多了。
Rowena: Why don't you go to some of the online bookstores and have a look? Maybe some are selling at a lower price.
罗威娜：你为什么不去网上的几家书店看看呢？没准他们卖得更便宜。
Wendy: I did. And I found one selling at a price considerably lower. The problem is, I'm not sure whether they are selling the pirate edition.
温迪：我去看过了，有一家卖得确实便宜不少，但问题是，我担心他们卖的是盗版。
Rowena: I see.
