Mike: Is tipping customary in South Africa?

Jay: As far as I know, it is considered polite to tip service workers in South Africa.

Mike: Why?

Jay: Maybe it is because the local workers receive a small wage.

Mike: OK. Can I log on the internet easily when I am there? I want to check my email box every day.

Jay: Travelers will be able to access the internet quite easily in the internet cafes of South Africa's large cities but limited to no access should be expected in rural areas.

Mike: How about mobile phones? Can I use it there?
迈克：那移动电话呢？我能在那使用手机吗？
Jay: Mobile phones coverage is very good in South Africa's large cities and towns, but less so in rural and mountainous areas.
杰伊：南非大城市和城镇的手机信号覆盖都很好，但是在农村和山区地方，就也有限制了。
Mike: So I have to make sure with global roaming activated before leaving home.
迈克：那我在动身之前就要开通全球通业务了。
